Welcome! I'm Yoana Urbina, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) providing therapy to adults throughout California. I believe healing begins in a space where you feel seen, understood, and accepted without judgment. As a bilingual English and Spanish therapist and a first-generation Mexican American, I bring both professional training and lived experience to my work. I have a special passion for supporting first-generation adults, children of immigrants, and members of the Latino community while welcoming adults from all backgrounds, cultures, and identities. My goal is to provide culturally responsive care where every person feels respected, understood, and empowered to show up as their authentic self. My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. My work is informed by an integrative understanding of mental health, recognizing that emotional well-being is deeply connected to our physical health, relationships, culture, environment, and life experiences. If you've ever felt like, "My doctors say everything is normal, but I still don't feel like myself," or you've felt unheard while searching for answers, you're not alone. While therapy is not a replacement for medical care, I recognize that our emotional and physical health continuously influence one another. Together, we'll explore the many factors that contribute to your overall well-being while supporting you in feeling more connected to yourself. Whether you're navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, chronic health concerns, life transitions, or simply wanting to understand yourself more deeply, therapy can be a place to heal, grow, and reconnect with your strengths. It would be an honor to walk alongside you in your journey. There is space for all of you here, your story, your pain, your strengths, and your becoming.
