Greetings! I am Yolanda Jenkins, a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #144529). I approach therapy with a blend of deep clinical expertise, diverse life experience, and a dedicated commitment to helping individuals navigate life’s complexities. As a Black woman and a clinician, I am deeply passionate about providing a safe, affirming space to process the unique psychological impacts of racial discrimination, systemic oppression, and minority stress. My journey into mental health care is grounded in public service and academic rigor. I am a Disabled Veteran with seven years of active-duty service in the United States Navy, which gives me a profound, firsthand understanding of the unique stressors faced by military personnel and veterans. Following my service, I pursued my passion for healing, earning a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from Point Loma Nazarene University, alongside a Master’s degree in Public Health with a Specialization in Health Care Administration from National University. Prior to receiving my full licensure in 2024, I spent five years dedicating myself to clinical practice as an Associate Registered Marriage and Family Therapist and an Associate Registered Professional Clinical Counselor.
