I bring over 13 years of nursing experience to my work as a psychiatric nurse practitioner. Before specializing in mental health, I cared for patients in medical-surgical and long-term care settings. My psychiatric experience includes working at a state psychiatric hospital, as well as in the Adult Inpatient Unit and Psychiatric Emergency Services at the University of Maryland Medical Center. I've also had the privilege of teaching nursing students as an Adjunct Professor at Anne Arundel Community College, Towson University, and the University of Maryland. I believe the best care starts with listening. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel comfortable sharing your story without fear of judgment. I take a collaborative approach to treatment, combining evidence-based psychiatric care with genuine curiosity about who you are and what matters to you. Together, we'll work to better understand what's contributing to your symptoms, build on your strengths, and develop a treatment plan that helps you move toward lasting wellness and a more fulfilling life.
