I’m Yyvette McKenzie, a licensed practical nurse, Certified Peer Specialist, and retired U.S. Army combat veteran. My path into this work began in military and trauma nursing. I served in Iraq with the 1st Infantry Division and spent more than 25 years caring for people in their hardest moments. After I came home, I saw how many veterans and families were left to carry the weight alone. I founded F.F. Veterans Holistic Services to change that. My work centers on trauma-informed care, peer recovery support, and helping people connect to the resources they need. I also serve as a CANS assessor, so I support children, adolescents, and their families as well as adults. I hold an MBA with a concentration in Organizational Psychology and a master’s in Information Technology, which helps me build services that are organized, ethical, and easy to access. You’ll find a place here whether or not you’ve served. Our services are open to everyone, and I believe healing starts when someone feels heard, respected, and supported. My goal is to meet you where you are and walk with you toward stability, hope, and lasting change. Learn more at www.ffveteransholisticservices.org.
