Zach DePledge, LCSW Founder & Clinical Director | Altitude Wellness Counseling Altitude Wellness Counseling was founded on a simple yet deeply held belief: no individual or family should have to navigate life’s most challenging seasons alone. My work is rooted in connection, discretion, and a genuine commitment to walking alongside those I serve with care and intention. My journey into the mental health field began during my undergraduate years while working in a children’s psychiatric hospital. It was there that I witnessed firsthand the power of presence—of meeting individuals and families during moments of crisis with compassion, steadiness, and respect. That experience shaped the foundation of my clinical approach: therapy should feel collaborative, human, and deeply relational. Throughout my career, I have served in a range of clinical and advocacy roles, including case manager, family advocate, behavioral interventionist, and therapist. Across each role, one principle has remained constant and continues to guide my practice today: meaningful change occurs within the context of trusted relationships. Clinical expertise matters, but healing truly begins when clients feel seen, understood, and supported. I specialize in working with adolescents, young adults, and families navigating emotional distress, relational challenges, and developmental transitions. Adolescence is a particularly complex stage of life—marked by shifts in independence, identity, and family dynamics. Parents are often doing their very best from a place of love, yet may feel unsure how to adapt as their child’s needs evolve. My work with families focuses on strengthening connection, restoring trust, and helping caregivers make thoughtful, sustainable adjustments that support both growth and relationship. Altitude Wellness Counseling operates within a relational model of care, intentionally designed to meet clients where they are—emotionally, interpersonally, and logistically. I offer therapy in a variety of settings, in-office, community-based environments such as schools, parks or coffee shops, and virtually, on a secure tele-health platform. This flexibility allows therapy to feel integrated into daily life, rather than confined to a traditional office setting. My clinical work is informed by evidence-based practices, thoughtfully tailored to each individual and family through a relational lens. Modalities utilized include: > Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) > Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) > Motivational Interviewing (MI) > Narrative Therapy > Family Systems Therapy > Parent Coaching and Family Consultation Each therapeutic approach is collaborative and personalized, with a focus on insight, emotional regulation, relational repair, and long-term sustainability of change. At the heart of my work is a commitment to walking with people through moments of uncertainty, pain, and transition—while holding space for hope, clarity, and possibility. If you or your family are facing a difficult chapter, I would be honored to provide support and guidance. You do not have to carry it alone.
