Introduction

You have a child who is coming into their identity, and you lie awake worrying about school, peers, extended family, and how others might treat them. You’re a parent who feels anxious about your child's future and you want to create a supportive and accepting environment for them. I work with parents of LGBTQ+ youth and parents of gender-diverse and transgender children who are navigating uncertainty, fear, and deep love for their child. Supporting a child through identity exploration can bring up powerful emotions—anxiety, grief, confusion, protectiveness, and hope—all at once. You don’t have to navigate this alone. I work with parents of LGBTQ+ youth and with LGBTQ+ teens themselves. Many teens I support are navigating anxiety, depression, identity exploration, bullying, or feeling misunderstood or unsafe in their environment. Alongside teen counseling, I help parents better understand their child’s emotional world and build the skills needed to offer steady support. My approach is LGBTQ+ affirming, trauma-informed, and compassionate. I focus on strengthening connection so both teens and parents feel more grounded and supported. You don’t need to have all the answers, just support along the way. Please take a look at my website to learn more about my services and reach out to see if we are a good fit.
