Hi, I’m Zana — a mental health therapist dedicated to helping children, teens, and adults navigate life’s challenges and discover their own strengths. My journey in the mental health field began in 2016, when I started working with children in school-based and therapeutic settings. Early on, I realized how powerful it can be to give kids a safe, supportive space to express themselves and learn healthy ways to manage emotions. That passion led me to pursue my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Penn West University and build a career focused on helping people of all ages grow, heal, and thrive. Over the years, I’ve worked with clients across a variety of settings — including acute partial hospitalization, partial programs, and outpatient care — which has given me a deep understanding of how to support individuals with varying needs. While I specialize in working with children and adolescents, I also enjoy helping adults who are struggling with stress, anxiety, or feeling “stuck” rediscover balance and purpose in their lives. My therapeutic style is creative, compassionate, and strengths based. I draw from approaches like person-centered, play therapy, CBT, DBT, and sensory-based techniques to make sessions interactive and meaningful. I love finding ways to tailor each session to the person in front of me — whether that means using art, movement, mindfulness, or play to help children engage, or guiding adults through practical tools to build insight and emotional resilience. I have particular experience supporting children and teens diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, mood disorders, depression, trauma and stressor-related disorders, and anxiety disorders. But beyond diagnoses, I believe every client brings their own story, and my role is to help them uncover what works best for them. At the heart of my work is the belief that therapy should feel safe, empowering and even enjoyable at times. My goal is for every client — no matter their age — to feel heard, accepted, and supported as we work together toward growth and healing. When I’m not in session, I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring new creative hobbies, and finding small moments of joy and mindfulness in everyday life — the same balance and self-care I encourage my clients to practice. If you think we might be a good fit, I’d love to connect and help you take the next step toward feeling more grounded, confident, and supported.
