Introduction

Hola! I am a Decolonizing Latinx/a Bilingual Psychotherapist located and practicing in Southern California. Theoretically I am rather diversified; however, I am particularly influenced by Attachment theory, Brain-Gut (Microbiota) connections, Neuro-Psychology, Cognitive-Behavioral theory, Development Psychology theories, and Humanistic-Existential theory. My approach to psychotherapy treatment and personal transformation is empathetic and holistic, focusing on my client(s) as unique, complex, dynamic individual, while honoring Indigenous practices and our connection to nature. I am here to facilitate the process of healing and transformation. Depression, anxiety, and high levels of stress are symptoms of conveyer belt life and an attempt to upkeep societal norms. They are not necessarily a result of the choices we make. Change is inevitable and we can become conscious participants in our new reality. I would be honored to be considered to be part of your healing journey. We can choose differently, but sometimes it takes the help of someone else to see how. My hope is to help you, as an individual, and as part of a bigger system, to work through your past and into a brighter future. Transgenerational and intergenerational healing is possible through decolonized therapeutic practices. As systemic and cyclical beings, my approach intertwines ancient wisdom and modern scientific findings to assist in developing an understanding of our own unique biological compositions. We are not exempt from the effects of this quickly changing environment and eco-system; we have played a crucial role in it. Integration of Body Awareness methods allows (you and me) to create a whole-person approach to empower YOU in regaining trust within YOURSELF. We are adaptable organisms who can tend and replenish our gardens. Just as a garden requires many crucial organisms and nutrients to make it all happen; we too can restore and replenish with love, patience, and curiosity. I welcome you to embrace the changes within each of these magnificent phases.
