I help teens and women heal from complex childhood trauma, neglect, and abuse—especially when those experiences show up as people-pleasing, identity loss, painful relationships, intense emotions, or a complicated relationship with food and their bodies. I became a therapist because this work genuinely matters to me. Over the past nine years, I have seen how trauma can remain hidden beneath perfectionism, overachievement, unhealthy relationships, disordered eating, and the feeling that you have no idea who you are because you spent so long surviving. I also understand that trauma symptoms are frequently misunderstood, treated only at the surface, or confused with features associated with diagnoses such as Borderline Personality Disorder or Bipolar Disorder. I take time to understand the whole person—not just the label. I am warm, down-to-earth, and honest. I balance validation with respectfully challenging the beliefs and behaviors that keep you stuck. As a secular, non-religious therapist, I create a space free of judgment or expectations—you can curse, ugly cry, or show up in three-day-old clothes, and you’ll still be accepted. I have ADHD, two tiny chihuahua coworkers named Bryn and Blair, and licenses to provide therapy in Florida, Illinois, Texas, and Colorado. I am proudly a girls’ girl, and my practice is mainly focused on the mental health and relational experiences of teens and women. Our first session is about helping you feel safe enough to be real. You do not need a perfect summary of your childhood, a list of goals, or a polished version of yourself. We will talk about what brought you in, which patterns keep repeating, and what you want your life and relationships to feel like instead. I may ask about family roles, attachment, trauma, relationships, eating patterns, and diagnoses you have received in the past. As a secular, non-religious therapist, I offer a safe place to process religious trauma, question previous beliefs, or leave religion out of therapy entirely. I highly recommend my patients start with regular weekly or twice-weekly appointments, especially if stepping down from intensive outpatient or post-hospital discharge, so that we can start with stability and building comfortability. Some days you may feel ready to go deep; other days, showing up in sweats after a hard week and needing to "Kim-Kardashian-style ugly cry” may be enough. This is a space where you can say the things you have never said out loud and move at a pace that feels manageable. You can expect warmth, curiosity, honesty, and possibly a cameo from one of my chihuahuas. Definitely Blair. Blair thinks you are here for her. My greatest strength is helping clients understand the deeper impact of complex childhood trauma, abuse, and neglect. I often notice attachment wounds, unmet needs, and repeating patterns that have been overlooked—and I help you notice them too. I love going beneath the surface to explore why certain relationships, beliefs, coping strategies, or eating patterns keep showing up. I connect especially well with teens and women who have always felt different, misunderstood, or like they do not belong, including neurodivergent clients. I have ADHD too, so you do not need to mask here. You can curse, cry, or show up in three-day-old clothes and still be accepted. Forgot where you were going mid-sentence? No worries, we will roll with it and I will meet your brain where it's at. NO. APOLOGIES. NEEDED. Your grandma had a swear jar? I have an apologies jar. You just be you :) I am an Evergreen Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and Evergreen Certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I am also trained in Schema Therapy and basic-trained EMDR from an EMDRIA-approved program. However, the foundation of my work is the therapy relationship itself. I want you to feel safe, understood, and supported while practicing secure attachment, boundaries, honesty, and being fully yourself. I am deeply passionate about working with women and teens navigating complex trauma, eating disorder recovery, or intense emotions and relationship patterns, including borderline personality features. You do not have to do this alone. I work best with clients who are ready for deeper, insight-oriented therapy and want to build emotional regulation, self-trust, and healthier relationships. You might enjoy and benefit from my approach if you are looking for a therapist who shows up authentically, tells you the truth with compassion, and gives you tools that are genuinely effective in helping you create meaningful change in your life.
