My name is Jeff Kaye. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been licensed in California in 2014. I worked in child protection for fifteen years. While at child protective services I held a variety of roles such as abuse investigator and adoption worker. I have worked for county behavior health. While at behavior health I was the corrdinator for a dual diagnosis in patient program. I have worked with the Department of Veteran Affiars. With the VA I have worked with Veteran's who've experienced all levels of trauma. In my private practice I strive to give my client's the best possible service. My philosophy is that therapy works best when the client feels safe and comfortable during the therapy practice. I always tell my clients that I want to provide them with a safe and supportive enviroment. I want them to feel like they have a partner whose their to support them as they embark on their quest to improve their mental heath. When I work with clients my general mode of practice is cognitive behavior theray, or CBT. With CBT the belief is that our situations impact our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I also incorporate a lot of mindfulness techiques such as deep breathing and grounding.
